Conservation Incentive Program Year Eight

(January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015)

The Conservation Incentive Program offers residential customers in National Fuel's western New York service area a number of money-saving rebates when they replace specified appliances with energy-efficient models.

Rebates are available for the following items, providing they were installed on or after January 1, 2015.

Applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2016, to receive a rebate.

Specific rebate dates apply. Storage Tank Water Heater and/or Tankless (Instantaneous) Water Heater must be installed after October 1, 2014 to receive the rebate. Applications will be available and accepted beginning January 1, 2015.

Please keep your paperwork from your contractor for any installations after October 1, 2014, for 0.67 EF or higher Storage Tank water heaters, and 0.82 EF and higher for Tankless (Instantaneous) gas-fired water heaters. Applications for these incentives will be available beginning January 1, 2015, or after.

Please note that the Tankless (Instantaneous) water heater is different from the Indirect water heater (used in conjunction with a boiler), which is currently eligible for an incentive.

In order for a rebate application to be considered complete and processed, the following information must be supplied for furnaces, boilers, indirect water heaters and thermostats:
  • Paid invoice or receipt(s) indicating the Retailer/Contractor name, business address, phone and one of the following: Federal ID (tax) number, Certificate of Insurance, or Business Certificate.

  • The paid invoice from the contractor should contain an itemized description of each product, including:
  1. Manufacturer and complete model number of the equipment replaced and installed.
  2. AFUE (efficiency) rating for natural gas furnace or boiler.
  3. Product installation date.
NOTE: Rebates are available for existing single-family homes, multi-family homes, condominiums and mobile homes. New construction is not eligible for this program.
